This is a colorful TUTORIAL PDF to teach people how they can go about making their own Katwise style coat. This listing is for a DIGITAL FILE that will be available for instant download.
THIS IS NOT A LISTING FOR AN ACTUAL SWEATER. If you want one of my sweater creations, please read below for details.
***You do not need to buy more than one Sweater coat tutorial - all of the $10 listings are for the same tutorial.***
This sweater elf coat seems to have inspired quite a little trend here on Etsy, and Katwise is where it all started. These sweaters are an extension of my charmed and colorful life, and I feel so blessed to be able to share it. :-)

ABOUT THIS TUTORIAL:
I started making recycled patchwork hoodies 20 years ago, while I was a wee gypsy girl, following the Grateful Dead. Since then my style has evolved and grown into this patchwork maddness. I have made thousands and thousands of sweaters, and each one is unique.
Since so many folks seem to want to make these sweaters themselves, I wrote this very bright and engaging 70 page tutorial. It is a digital PDF bursting with over 100 color photos, diagrams, anecdotes and sweater secrets. I have tried to make it fun and inexpensive enough that, even if you are not sure you can sew a coat, you still might enjoy the read.
The Katwise coat pattern itself is very simple, but learning to sew with sweaters has a lot of tricks. This project is best suited for people who have experience sewing with a serger, but beginners are encouraged to follow their bliss and give it a try too!
YOU WILL NEED:
A serger
4 Spools overlock thread
Approx 20 Sweaters (Choosing the right sweaters is an art unto itself, and I will walk you through this process)
Have a look at my feedback for all the sweet things people have been saying about the tutorial. It warms my heart! If you look on my facebook page, you can see dozens of photos of coats that others have made with the tutorial:

THIS IS NOT A FORMAL PATTERN WITH PRECISE MEASUREMENTS. Patterns will not work well with one of a kind, upcycled garments. (*trust me!*) Rather, this is a picturesque journey through making a coat, which will give you the techniques you need to make one in the size and style that suits your spirit.
In addition to the beautifully detailed PDF, anyone who purchases this is invited to participate in an online discussion, where I am ready to answer any questions you have along the way. Free tech support from me and your fellow sweater artists!
It is 72 color pages, so, it might be a bit too much to print out, but that is up to you.
People who purchase this pattern are welcome to sell their finished coats it in small quantities, as long as they give my shop a shout out in their listing.
